Eradicate-R 08: Crosseyes

Eradicate-R Unit 08, more commonly known as "Crosseyes," or less commonly as "Crazy Eight." Of all the Eradicate-Rs, Crosseyes has the most amount of quirks, but by far the least harmful. Unlike his other seven siblings, Crosseyes is a fairly cooperative and sociable robot. He interacts with people just fine, even though conversations with him are usually interspersed with stories of violent battles and anecdotes about things so strange that anyone but Crosseyes would be suspected of lying. He has a fear of water and sharks, and an intense dislike of pigeons that permeates his very thought process, to the point that anything in the periphery of his sight is explained- and fired upon- as an "imaginary pigeon." The only animals he is known to respect are stingrays, though the reasoning behind this is just about as clear as anything Crosseyes does...

Crosseyes uses projectile weaponry, and prides himself on being a gunman. Armed with multiple guns placed on his fingers and eight missile pods, Crosseyes can do a lot of heavy damage in a short span of time due to his high rate of fire, though due to the nature of his multi-barrelled Gun-Hands he's prone to jamming. The bandoleers on his torso are a source of ammunition and recovery, they disconnect from his eye-shaped core on his chest to drain matter from other objects for self-repair or reloading. While they afford him a great degree of endurance, losing them in battle cripples his effectiveness, and they take a long time to be repaired. He's a little slow-witted when it comes to complex or abstract subjects, but he's surprisingly well-versed on a variety of subjects simply due to his long lifespan. Exactly how old Crosseyes is has become something of a mystery, as his memories extend back to at least the 1970's, but beyond that the data is corrupted. 

In addition to his regular weaponry, Crosseyes can tear off the thumbs from his hands to pull pins from his palms and loosen the hand from the wrist, allowing it to become a small but powerful explosive device... a Literal Hand Grenade. This is a bit of a risk in and of itself, since much of Crosseyes combat ability comes from his hands. He usually does this when the barrels in one of his hands jams and he'd need to repair or regenerate it anyway. 

As the least overtly dangerous Eradicate-R, Crosseyes isn't treated with the same degree of caution as the other seven units, but he is more than willing to kill if the situation demands it, so much so that the shift from Crosseyes' happy and morbid self to a serious killer can be jarring. It's compartmentalization, Crosseyes simply prefers not to overlap the part of himself that fights with the side he shows to friends and allies.
